























Have you got a yearning while overseas to hire a real sea kayak and explore on water where you are?
A small team of paddlers explored Fiordland’s remote coastline, launching from Milford Sound and venturing south along dramatic cliffs and secluded beaches. They camped in sheltered bays, navigated changing weather from calm seas to mist and rain, and experienced the raw beauty of untouched wilderness. The journey ended with a return to Milford Sound, completing an unforgettable expedition in one of New Zealand’s most spectacular regions.
On this trip I was keen to visit Tarahiki Island, which sits in the Firth of Thames east of Pakatoa. This photo of Tarahiki was taken several weeks earlier, (from Rotoroa Island).
A late afternoon session soon provided all the ingredients for sheer Angling Euphoria as I started hooking and landing 5 big snapper.
